We will regularly review the situation and update this page with any new updates.
Travel Disruption: Tube Strikes
The RMT has scheduled 24-hour Tube strikes across our event dates:
- 19–20 May – beginning midday on the 19th until 11:59am on the 20th
- 21–22 May – beginning midday on the 21st until 11:59am on the 22nd
Expected Impact
- Tube services operate normally until 11:59am on strike days, then experience severe disruption for the remainder of the day.
- 20 May morning will see continued severe disruption, easing after midday.
- Alternative rail options (Elizabeth line, DLR, most Overground) remain in service but may be crowded.
Travel Recommendations
To help you reach the venues smoothly:
- Use National Rail, Elizabeth line, DLR, or Overground services where possible.
- Plan additional travel time, especially around midday when strike periods begin.
- Where feasible, walk from nearby stations such as City Thameslink, Blackfriars, Fenchurch Street, or Tower Gateway.
- Expect delays and increased demand for taxis and ride-hailing services
