Regulatory & Compliance AI Solution of the Year

This award recognises an innovative AI-enabled solution that addresses compliance, governance, risk or regulatory challenges. Open to technology providers, advisory firms, regulated businesses and in-house teams, entrants should demonstrate how AI has improved compliance effectiveness, enhanced decision-making, supported regulatory obligations or increased operational efficiency.  

Judges will look for measurable benefits, innovation, practicality and the responsible use of AI. Examples include regulatory change management, horizon scanning, policy and controls management, monitoring, reporting, governance oversight and workflow automation. 

Eligibility

  • Open to any organisation, including technology providers, advisory firms, regulated businesses and in-house teams, developing or implementing an AI solution for compliance, governance, risk management or regulatory operations. 
  • Entries must demonstrate activity and impact within the last 12-18 months. 
  • The solution must have been deployed, tested or used within an organisation operating in Europe.

Criteria

  • Your submission needs to respond to the 3 criteria sections: Spirit, Approach and Outcome.
  • You will be awarded a maximum of 10 points per section (30 points in total).
  • Questions are suggested in each criteria section. These are prompts to help you think about the evidence that will help judges to best assess your entry. You do not need to address all questions, please use them as a guide.
  • The 4th criteria section Validation is optional and is your opportunity to provide supporting documents to further demonstrate to judges why your submission should win. You can submit up to 3 supporting documents.

 

Spirit: Introduce your AI solution and the context in which it was developed or implemented

Please include details such as:

  • A clear description of the AI solution, its purpose and how it supports regulatory compliance, governance, risk management or compliance operations
  • The business or regulatory environment that shaped its development (eg regulatory change, Consumer Duty, DORA, ESG reporting, governance requirements, controls management or regulatory reporting obligations) 
  • Details of the client relationship or internal team collaboration featured in the case study 
  • The strategic drivers behind the initiative (eg regulatory change, operational inefficiencies, risk exposure, innovation goals)

 

Approach: Describe how the solution was implemented and how it reflects innovation and excellence

Please address some or all of the following:

  • Core features and functionality of the AI solution and how it was tailored to meet specific compliance needs 
  • How challenges were addressed during development or implementation (eg data quality, integration, user adoption) 
  • The collaborative approach taken with clients, internal teams or external partners 
  • Any standout initiatives or enhancements that demonstrate creativity, agility or leadership 
  • How the solution was tested, validated and refined to ensure effectiveness 

 

Outcome: Demonstrate the results and impact of the solution

Please include evidence such as: 

  • Measurable improvements in governance, risk management, compliance or regulatory outcomes 
  • Evidence of increased efficiency, automation or process effectiveness 
  • Improvements in user adoption, stakeholder engagement or decision-making 
  • Reductions in risk exposure, control gaps, manual effort or compliance costs 
  • Feedback from users, customers or stakeholders demonstrating the value delivered 
  • Evidence that the solution has been successfully embedded, scaled or adopted across the organisation

 

Validation (Optional): Support your entry with any further information to show the judges why this solution should win

Examples may include:

  • Client testimonials, feedback summaries or satisfaction metrics 
  • Performance reports, dashboards or benchmarking data 
  • Independent assessments, audits or validation of results 
  • Case studies demonstrating measurable impact 
  • External recognition (e.g. awards, media coverage or regulator feedback) 
  • You may submit up to three supporting documents.
