Judging Process

Judges are selected from across the ICA membership, ICA subject matter experts and the wider compliance community. They dedicate valuable time to review hundreds of entries against strict criteria using a transparent scoring system designed to recognise and reward excellence.

This rigorous process ensures every winner is selected fairly, transparently, and based on the true impact of their work.

Entries will be reviewed against the following criteria: 

• Spirit (required) - The context within which the submission is set, defining the opportunity, need or requirement to innovate, advance, adapt and change. 
• Approach (required) - How the change or improvement was delivered, demonstrating excellence, best practice and how the team, individual, or partnership went above and beyond.
• Outcome (required) - The benefits realised from the point of view of various stakeholders (the firm, customers, regulators, etc) including tangible and intangible aspects (financial rewards, satisfaction, UX improvements, efficiencies, empowerment, enhanced risk management).
• Validation (optional) - How the initiative/activity has been recognised, embedded or replicated as a benchmark of best practice internally or more widely.
